Turkmenistan, Russia to co-op in construction, agricultural equipment supply Agriculture
Documents on bilateral cooperation in the fields of construction, as well as the purchase and sale of agricultural and industrial equipment have been signed between companies and economic entities of Turkmenistan and Russia, the ministry of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan reported March 29.
The documents were signed within the framework of the Turkmen-Russian business forum held in Ashgabat.
Representatives of more than 60 leading Russian companies and financial circles, specializing in fuel and energy complex, transport, communications, construction, agricultural industry took part in the forum.
The message said that Ashgabat also hosted the first meeting of the high level group for trade and investments support within the framework of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission for economic cooperation. The delegation of the Russian side was headed by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexey Likhachev.
Issues of cooperation in textile and chemical industries, shipbuilding, manufacture of construction materials, agriculture, food industry were discussed during the meeting.
Consultations on the development of interbank cooperation and interaction of financial institutions of the sides were also held.
