IIKSS - National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan hosted final working meeting of the coordinators of regional programme “Reform of Educational System in the Central Asia” of German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Realization of this project was made in three phases throughout eight years. Its final stage fell on the period from January 2014 until December 2016.
Representatives of secondary comprehensive schools as well as lecturers of S. Seydi Turkmen State Educational Institute, who received the status of regional coordinators, were the participants of the meeting held in educational and methodological format.
The objective of the programme is the support of innovations and reforms in educational sphere of five states of the region – Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The main stress was made on improvement of level of professional training of the teachers and lecturers of secondary and high educational schools. The trainings, organized in all regions and Turkmen capital with participation of German experts, were held in seminar format with innovative educational methods.
Besides, the meetings with representatives of administration of educational institutions, regional educational departments, where issues of implementation of modern multimedia educational technologies to educational process were discussed, were organized. Familiarization and educational trip of Turkmen specialists to Dresden, organized during the programme, gave opportunity to study advanced practice of German colleagues.
At the final meeting, Turkmen participants shared the experience of executed work, which was based on innovative methodology. Organization of educational network for promotion of methodological developments, uniting innovative teachers in initial education, is one of the important results of the programme.
