Azerbaijan to join int’l exhibitions to promote its exports Investment
IIKSS - Azerbaijani exporters will have a chance to participate in international exhibitions to increase awareness about the local production and advertise the products on foreign markets.
The Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan has already started to receive applications from exporters wishing to take part in the World Food International exhibition, which is scheduled for September 11-14, 2017 in Moscow, Russia and HKTDC exhibition to be held on November 10-12, 2017 in Hong Kong, China.
The maximum number of Azerbaijani companies that may represent their production in the single Azerbaijani stand amounts to 50 and 20 in Moscow and Hong Kong, respectively.
The list of companies will be determined following a competition, to be held on May 25 and July 29 at AZPROMO (Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation) office.
The criteria for participation in the exhibition are productive and export potential, experience in the export of production.
World Food is deemed to be Russia’s leading and longest running event for the international food industry. The event is expected to attract a huge audience of wholesalers, distributors, retailers and restaurateurs.
Azerbaijani output will also be exhibited in Dubai (Gulffood February 26- March 2), Dusseldorf (Prowine, March 19-21) and Cologne (Anuga, October 7-11).
The first export mission of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs represented the country in Chinese Hong-Kong on November 9-13 and Guandzhou on November 13-15. Moreover, the export mission was also sent to the UAE.
Only 10 export missions may be held within a year, while exporters participating in missions are freely provided with accommodation, transport and translation services.
A total of 3 million manats ($1.84 million) has been allocated out of the Azerbaijani President’s Reserve Fund in the 2016 State Budget to finance the export support measures. The state will also provides assistance to separate participants, paying some 30 percent of their expenditures (providing that the sum does not exceed 3,000 manats ($ 1,692)) for the rent, placing of stands, and transportation of exhibition samples.
