Moscow says Russia-Azerbaijan ties remain stable Investment
IIKSS - Bilateral relations between Russia and Azerbaijan remain continue to be stable, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for Russia’s Foreign Ministry, told a briefing on Wednesday.
“These ties were established by our heads of state, backed by relevant documents, and sealed with years of friendly relations between our peoples,” said Zakharova.
Commenting on mutual visits paid by both countries’ officials, Zakharova said it is indicative of high-level bilateral relations in every-day life experience.
“I’m talking about cultural and humanitarian events. It’s more than pleasing that at such a complicated time for the world we are holding interesting public events, which contribute not only to bilateral relations but also to international relations,” she added.
An exhibition entitled "Stars of Absheron. Azerbaijani artists of 1960-1980s" opened at the Russian State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow November 15. President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Allahshukur Pashazade joined the 70th jubilee of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia.
In addition, Russian Minister of Education and Science Olga Vasilyeva and Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky paid visits to Azerbaijan last week.
