Baku Shopping Festival to be presented at World Shopping Tourism Summit in November Tourism
DAIR Hotels & Restaurants DAIR welcomed the package of Presidential Decrees aimed at the development of tourism in Azerbaijan.
According to DAIR, the Decrees laid the basis for transition of tourism industry of Azerbaijan to the new period of development, and they will also strengthen the role and importance of Azerbaijan as a tourist destination and will increase the competitiveness of the entire tourism infrastructure and hospitality of the country.
“We believe that all aspects, arising out of Decrees, are quite appropriate, and soon we will see a significant development of tourism in Azerbaijan in the result of execution of complex measures,” Samir Dubendi, Chairman of DAIR, said.
DAIR thinks that the financing of investment projects from the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund, the establishment of tourism and recreational areas on the basis of public-private partnership (PPP) and giving tax and customs benefits and privileges will play an important role in motivating business development.
“The development of beach tourism and more efficient usage of Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, the development of specialized types of tourism, ensuring the accelerated passage of foreigners through border crossing points and other Decrees of Azerbaijani President will inevitably lead to the increase of tourist flow to the country,” Dubendi informed.
At that, DAIR emphasized the Decree. on carrying out the annual Baku Shopping Festival.
“We hope that we will be able to participate directly in the processes of achieving the objectives and to contribute to the execution of orders arising from the Decrees of the President. We continue all works on the study of the practice of shopping festivals. We intend to participate at the World Shopping Tourism Summit, which will be held on 22-23 November in Abu-Dhabi, where we can study the experience of cities such Istanbul, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and others, and perhaps we will bring travel products designed specially for Baku Shopping Festival,” Dubendi reported.
