Caspian Pipeline Consortium appoints Transneft executive as new head
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) said on Tuesday it has appointed former Transneft executive Nikolay Gorban as the new chief executive of the oil pipeline joint venture.
Before joining CPC, Gorban was the head of Transnefteproduct, a Transneft subsidiary. He took over from Nikolai Brunich, who left CPC in May.
CPC connects the Tengiz field in Kazakhstan, and a number of other fields, to a sea terminal near the Black Sea port of Novorossiisk in Russia. The consortium plans to boost the pipeline capacity to 67 million tonnes this year from million tonnes in 2015.
