Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Georgia and Turkmenistan agree on direct talks on cargo transit optimization Investment
Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Georgia and Turkmenistan have signed a protocol on cooperation in the sphere of railway and sea transport.
Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (Azeri acronym: AXDG) reports that the Protocol was signed during the meeting of heads of railway and maritime transport and ports of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Georgia and Turkmenistan in Turkmenbashi.
"According to the protocol, the parties agreed on developing and strengthening scientific and technical cooperation in the transport sector, the increasing of local and transit traffic, optimization of different types of transport and the solution of existing problems in a way of direct coordination," AXDG said.
The Protocol also implies the creation of favorable conditions for interstate and transit traffic by rail and sea.
