Moscow urges boosting academic ties with Tehran
Iranian and Russian academic teams can help each other in further development of technology and research studies through joint undertakings, deputy head of Russian Department for Science and Technology Park Nikolai Grachev said on Tuesday.
Touring the Exhibition of Islamic Azad University Technological and Research Achievements, he called for scientific cooperation between the Iranian and Russian universities.
He said that a parallel move has been formed between Iran and Russia to foster cooperation on using each other's facilities.
The major problem faced by the Iranian and Russian young scientists is lack of sponsors, he said, noting that the two countries' cooperation can help support the scientists.
Noting that post-sanctions atmosphere and mutual cooperation can contribute to their cultural and economic development, he said that Iran is a great market with high capacity in the world.
'Our look at Iran is not a commercial and investment look because Iran owns strong scientists and advanced science and cooperation with the scientists can bear excellent outcomes for both nations,' he said.
The Russian official hailed the inventions and various technologies displayed in the ongoing exhibition.
The Exhibition of Islamic Azad University Technological and Research Achievements opened on May 19 and will work until May 27.
